Groove 8 is an jazz/funk collective formerly known as Audioform. Having toured as Audioform for four years, the band decided to focus its energy on a new brand and direction. Groove 8\'s latest album and first under the new name, DEBUT, was released on March 6, 2009. Debut was recorded and produced by Alan Evans (Play On Brother Studios) who is the drummer and founding member of the band SOULIVE.
The album includes the first ever vocal track - The Dream - by the band. Debut is an eleven track album that will reaffirm the groups original attempt to fuse several genres into a melting pot of groove.

New Orleans Own Soul-Funk Upstarts..
MAYBELLE
Originally from Southern Louisiana, Maybelle brings it\'s own distinctive fusion of improv-soul to the West Coast. Still at young ages, Maybelle consists of seasoned players from the uptown New Orleans scene. Jake, Thomas, Will and Scotty have shared the stage with many notable musicians including; Eric Lindell, George Porter Jr. (The Meters, PBS), Marc Ford (THe Black Crowes, Ben Harper), Topaz, Outformation, G-Love, Ivan Neville\'s Dumpstaphunk and Irvin Mayfield.
Will McMains forms the foundation of the band with bombastic druming heavily rooted in funk and jazz-fusion, his brother Jake fills out the rhythm section with exploratory and melodic electric bass guitar. Guitar player Thomas Johnson brings a dynamic and versatile approach to lead guitar playing with influences ranging from Shuggie Otis to JJ Cale to Jeff Beck. Rounding out the group is Scott LeBell on keyboards and vocals, with his impressive, soul-filled stage presence and funky organ chops.
