Naughty Donkey is composed of a group of local session players and former members of national touring bands who have played with different groups in locales ranging from dive bars to big festivals all over the U.S. and in Europe. The band includes session ace Temp Keller on drums, multi-instrumentalist Jamie Goodyear, guitar player Nat Zilkha from the band Red Rooster (who played at 2008’s Newport Folk Festival) and vocalist / diva Christy Pichicero, who graduated with a degree in opera singing and musicology from the Eastman School of Music. Individually they have shared stages with bands as diverse as Jimmy Buffet, the Black Crowes, the Samples, Hot Tuna, Acoustic Junction and Levon Helm. Now they all live in San Francisco and are just looking to have fun and make good time, good drinkin’, bootyshakalicious music. Playing diverse sets ranging from stax soul to funk, blues and rock, it’s a party and you’re invited.
